Basic Training Course

The 10-month Basic Course is our major educational program. It runs from June to March each year.

Students study a range of subjects including Human Rights, Democracy, Rule of Law, Environmental Protection, IT and English.

Students spend 9 months in the classroom and 1 month doing fieldwork or completing an internship with a community organisation. Students submit reports about their research, and these are published by SDC. To read some of the translated reports, please refer to our reports section.

Student Admission

Admission has steadily increased and this year SDC welcomed 50 new students to our Basic Course. Students are admitted based on their interest in human rights issues, academic performance and English proficiency.
